Open_1, was our “keep calm and carry on”. Back in 2020, as the world shut down we got to work turning our industrial design agency into a product business. We bought a CNC machine, learned how to use it and started our first short-run of exquisite billet bottle openers. We started with aluminum and then adapted to beautiful brass which gave weight and reinforced the idea of “intentional patina”. We polished them, numbered them and created our packaging right here in our DTLA studio.
